The William Hill Bingo site really shines when it comes to bonuses and promotions. There are typically dozens of them in play at any given time and they’re constantly changing. We hope you enjoy reading this review, as we aim to provide the most informative and helpful insight into each bingo site we review here at bingomummy.

About William Hill Bingo

William Hill Bingo has been up and running for 10 years now; an eternity by Internet standards. It’s an offshoot of the popular William Hill Casino and according to sources, quite the money maker for them. The site offers an array of features designed to enhance the user experience and generally make you feel more comfortable. And that’s how it should be.

Starting in May of last year the site incorporated the Playtech HTML5 bingo platform that eliminates glitches and allows for better graphics presentation and a larger variety of gameplay options. The HTML5 features are also intended to improve the all-important mobile experience and it must be said they do a pretty good job of that.

When you enter the site you’ll notice straight away that this site is networked into William Hill’s other online gambling establishments so if you should tire of the bingo offerings you can head right over to the casino for a change of pace.

Games and Mobile

As you might expect from a company as experienced and reliable as William Hill they offer enough games to keep even the most diehard bingo fanatic happy. This includes 3 main bingo variants:

  • 75 ball bingo
  • 80 ball bingo
  • 90 ball bingo

Offerings don’t stop there though because also on tap are bingo variants:

  • Rainbow Riches
  • Cash Cubes
  • Bouncy Balls
  • Deal or No Deal
  • Lucky Numbers
  • Bingo Bowl
  • Who Wants to be a Millionaire

As well as a generous array of slots.

Note that Cash Cubes, Bouncey Balls, Rainbow Riches and Bingo Bowl are 36, 40 and 50 ball variants so there’s something here for everyone. Bingo Bowl is actually exclusive to William Hill. It features a progressive jackpot and with each game you have 2 chances to win. If none of these Playtech HTML5 offerings are to your taste or you just want to shake things up head over to the Community Room or Bargain Basement.

Non-Bingo Offerings

William Hill Bingo offers nearly 100 slots, scratchcards and casino games so even if you might have thought about navigating over to the main William Hill casino site you really don’t have to. There’s plenty of action right here. Most of these are HTML5 powered games including popular titles such as Shaman’s Dream, Fluffy Favourites, Wild Gambler and Dynamite Digger.

Sports Betting

You didn’t really think we’d be able to review a William Hill site without mentioning their sportsbook did you? Well good because of course they offer access to their typically outstanding sportsbook through the bingo site in case you develop a sports itch that needs scratching. All the major (and plenty of obscure) sporting events are covered including the usual suspects like football, cricket, golf, horseracing, rugby, American football and more.

The Mobile Experience

As we stated above the William Hill Bingo site uses HTML5 technology to enhance the mobile experience these days and as such you’ll generally find it both engaging and satisfying. The action is smooth and hassle free and navigation doesn’t waste your time or drop you into black holes from which there is no escape. The layout for mobile is a slightly repackaged layout from the main site and that’s to be expected, although if you’re used to playing on your PC or big screen tablet you may find it takes a minute to get acclimated to the smartphone architecture. No worries though because the designers did their job and put the emphasis on intuitive navigation and crystal clear displays that don’t leave you searching for the magnifying glass.

The William Hill Bingo mobile site features all the same offerings as the main site so there’s no drop off in your ability to participate and each game is fully optimized for mobile play and the vagaries of wi-fi. In general we had no issues with the mobile site at all, except maybe that it was difficult to tear ourselves away.

You can download the William Hill Bingo app from the App Store. While some might find it makes things a bit simpler and more straightforward we didn’t see any great benefit to be derived from the app itself so downloading it seems more a matter of preference than need. You can also download the Android app if you wish by heading over to mobile.williamhill.com/android/bingo and following the prompts.

Bonuses and Promotions

The William Hill Bingo site really shines when it comes to bingo bonuses and promotions. There are typically dozens of them in play at any given time and they’re constantly changing so trying to list them all here would be pointless; but we’ll go ahead and mention a few anyway:

William Hill Bingo New Customers Promo

Although William Hill Bingo doesn’t offer a no deposit promotion code they haven’t forgotten new customers and instead offer them a 400% bonus on their first deposit. For example: if you register and then deposit and spend £10 on bingo tickets in your first 7 days you’ll receive £40 in free bonus funds to wager. Of that £40, £30 is in the form of a bingo bonus and £10 can be used on slots. £40 is also the max bonus money available through this offer, which is a bit disappointing. On the other hand there’s no code necessary, which makes things easier. Another perk of signing up and making your initial £10 deposit is that you gain access to the Arrivals Lounge. Access to this features lasts for 8 days and there’s £3,200 to potentially be won. So all is not lost for new customers.

Other Promos and Specials

As we said there are dozens of free bonus offers running at any given time for both new and existing customers. Here are a few related specifically to Monday:

  • Roll-on Mondays – From 7pm to 11pm on Monday every game provides you 3x or 5x more chances of winning and every half hour there’s a game with 10x the normal prizes.
  • Enhanced Prizes – On Mondays and Thursdays between 8pm and 11pm all players have the chance to take advantage of bigger prizes in different rooms.
  • 4 hours Free – Every Monday you get to take advantage of a free bingo promotion on William Hill between 11am and noon, 2pm and 3pm, 5pm and 6pm and 10:30 and 11:30.

There are myriad other promotions in play on every other day of the week and special, event specific offers that pop up regularly and may require a promo code or bonus code.

Transacting Business

William Hill Bingo does a good job of providing a range of useful deposit and payment options. Once you login and start to play you’re also able to transact business in a variety of currencies including Pounds, Dollars, Euros, Canadian Dollars and more. Currently accepted payment methods are:

  • Neteller
  • Entropay
  • VISA Credit and Debit
  • Mastercard Credit and Debit
  • VISA Electron
  • Paysafecard
  • Skrill
  • PayPal

Customer Service

William Hill Bingo offers an array of support options that are generally excellent. They have a free UK contact number, an international number, live chat, email, fax and more. If there’s a support issue it seems to be that high rollers don’t necessarily benefit from a higher level of customer support. But as we say the basic customer support is excellent.

What We Like

There’s a lot to be said for William Hill Bingo. The technology is top-of-the-line, the number of bingo options is impressive, they offer exclusive 50 ball bingo, they accept a decent variety of payment methods, the site is well laid out with intuitive navigation, their mobile site is well designed and easy to use and the number of different promotions and bonuses is impressive. Definitely a 5-star bingo site in our eyes.

Things We Don’t Like So Much

The support issue for big spenders is a bit disconcerting although for everyone else support seems fine. There’s a design disconnect between the bingo site and the casino so much so that if you click on the casino link from the bingo site you may think you made a mistake. Other than that though it’s all good.

The Verdict

If you’re a fan of online bingo you can’t lose with William Hill. They understand the game, understand their clientele and understand Internet technology. They don’t cut corners anywhere or make excuses. You may even have seen a TV advert or two for the site recently which indicates how serious they take this enterprise. They invest the resources necessary to provide you with a first class bingo experience and wouldn’t it be a great world if you could say that about every company?
