ABC Bingo Review – Covers All the Bases

ABC Bingo is a Dragonfish site with a school theme. There are no boring lessons here though, just games. If school had entertainment like this, I certainly would have paid more attention in class. According to this site, playing these games is as easy as A-B-C! So, we here at BingoMummy are testing if they live up to their reputation.

About ABC Bingo

ABC Bingo has been around for some time, but you might not recognise it. It was launched in 2010 and has undergone numerous face lifts since then and now looks completely different to the way it did when it first came on the scene. It was once comic book themed, but now has more of a back to school vibe, and is hosted by a bespectacled cartoon teacher names Vicky. She guides you through the site, explaining different features, recommending her favourite games and offering help via live chat if you need it.

ABC Bingo has reinvented itself a few times, so it’s certainly not outdated. However, it still isn’t quite with the times in comparison to other bingo sites. In this review, I’ll go over what it’s missing, as well as what it’s doing right. In the end, you can decide for yourself whether this is the right bingo site for you.

Games and Mobile

ABC Bingo has three types of bingo game:

  • 5 line bingo
  • 75 ball bingo
  • 90 ball bingo

Here are the individual game titles to choose from:

  • Sunny 90s
  • High 5
  • Bingo Buddies
  • B52
  • On the House
  • Big Fat 10
  • Bouncet

90 ball bingo is the online version of the traditional game that’s played in the UK. Players buy tickets with 3 x 9 number grids, and can win by getting 1 line, 2 lines or a full house. 75 ball bingo is slightly different, as players have to complete a given pattern on their card to win, rather than simple lines. With 5 line bingo, there are 5 ways to win. Get a line horizontally, diagonally, across or top to bottom to win. The more lines you get, the more prizes you win.

Non-Bingo Offerings

If you’re looking to play other types of games as well as bingo, ABC has slots and casino games you can try. There are 16 slots to choose from, including Da Vinci Diamonds, Irish Luck, Starburst and Cleopatra. If casino games are more your style, ABC Bingo has 10 of them for you. There’s American Roulette, French Roulette, Baccarat, Blackjack, and an exclusive Deal or No Deal Poker game.

Sports Betting

ABC Bingo is unable to offer a sports betting service. If this is a must for you, you’d be better off using one of the more mainstream bingo sites. Bookmakers like Coral, William Hill and Betfair all offer sports betting as well as bingo and other online games.

The Mobile Experience

ABC Bingo uses Dragonfish software for both the desktop and mobile sites. The layout of the mobile site is much simpler, with a login page as the homepage. This means that unless you sign up and become a member, you can’t look through the site. The desktop version has lots more options and tabs to click on. One of those is ‘mobile’, which should provide information about how to play ABC Bingo on a mobile device. Instead, it has 6 paragraphs about playing online bingo in general, with no specific information about ABC Bingo. This is a little disappointing, as it shows the lack of detail on the site. However, ABC Bingo can be played on smartphone or tablet with no issues. Discover more great mobile bingo sites here https://bingomummy.com/category/bingo/.

Apps

There is no app available for ABC Bingo. If you’d like to play on a mobile device, you can open to site up in your browser and play the same way you would on a laptop or computer. A banner at the top of the site says that ABC Bingo ‘can be played on all devices’, so the lack of app shouldn’t stop you from enjoying the games on your phone or tablet.

Bonuses and Promotions

All good bingo sites have to provide a range of promotions to entice players to buy tickets and keep coming back to play time and time again. ABC Bingo is no different. Here are the offers the site is currently running:

ABC Bingo New Customers Welcome Package

When you make your first deposit with ABC Bingo, you get a 400% bingo bonus. This bonus is capped at £100, but you also get 20 free bingo tickets to play with.

Other Promos and Specials

There’s also a loyalty scheme as well as daily, weekly and seasonal promotions for existing customers.

  • ABC Bingo Loyalty Plan – As you play on ABC Bingo, you collect jewels. The more jewels you have, the higher your rank in the loyalty plan and the more rewards you get. The ranks are Bingo Rookie, Bingo Pro, Bingo Master and Bingo Champ. Rewards include cash back, access to exclusive games and more. You get your own VIP representative, too.
  • Refer a Friend – Every 3 months, ABC Bingo runs a prize draw for members who’ve referred a friend. If your name is drawn, you and your friend will win a free luxury spa day together. In order to be eligible, both people need to have registered and deposited a minimum of £10.
  • Win a Full Year’s School Supplies – In this competition, ABC are offering a £300 voucher to pay for school supplies. For players with children, this is very appealing. If you don’t have any, you can convert the voucher to a bingo bonus and play £300 worth of games. This is the top prize, but there are also 5 more, including more cash bonuses and free spins.

Transacting Business

ABC Bingo accept the following payment methods for deposits and withdrawals:

  • Visa
  • Visa Electron
  • Visa Debit
  • Maestro
  • MasterCard
  • PayPal
  • Paysafe
  • Neteller
  • Pre-paid Card

The minimum withdrawal amount is £20 and once requested, will arrive in your account in 5 days.

Customer Service

ABC Bingo has a team of customer support staff who are there to help with any problems you may have. You can contact them by emailing [email protected]. Their site states that they aim to respond to all email enquiries within 48 hours. If that’s not fast enough, you can log into the site and use the live chat feature for a more immediate response. If you’d rather contact them by phone, their contact number is 0800 901 2510. This is a free number, and lines are open every day from 9am-1am.

What I Like

ABC Bingo is powered by Dragonfish software, which is used on countless other bingo sites because it’s some of the best bingo technology available. It’s known for providing great quality bingo games, so we know we can expect that from this site.

The welcome bonus on this site is good, with a 400% deposit bonus and 20 free tickets to get you started. This is a great way to encourage new players to sign up and join in on the fun.

Things I Don’t Like So Much

ABC Bingo doesn’t seem to offer anything special to differentiate itself from other bingo sites on the market. The range of promotions is very small, and the ones they do have are not particularly exciting. There’s a loyalty scheme, a refer-a-friend program and a seasonal promotion with a chance to win a cash voucher to buy school supplies, but they could benefit from offering deals with more instant rewards.

ABC Bingo’s mobile site doesn’t allow users to browse without signing up first, so potential players can’t be sure of the quality or speed of the games on a mobile device first. This is bound to stop some people from registering.

The Verdict

ABC Bingo has some good credentials. It uses Dragonfish software, is licensed and regulated by the UK Gambling Commission, and is certified as ‘safe and fair’ by eCOGRA. It’s good for players to know that a site is safe, secure and trustworthy. They accept a variety of payment methods, too. However, the site falls short with its range of games and promotions. While it does offer bingo, slot and casino games, there just aren’t enough of them. Many other sites offer 40-50 slots or more, but ABC Bingo has just 16.

This site provides all the basics that a bingo player is looking for, but doesn’t have anything extra to set it apart from the rest. Give it a try, but keep an eye out for better deals on other sites. If you are interested in other sites, why not give our review on Bogof Bingo a read.
